What's on?

• Thetford Forest is Britain’s largest lowland forest.
• The local area is known as The Brecks, one of the driest parts of Britain, with its own distinctive landscape, wildlife and history.
• Peddars Way National Trail passes near the Site. The walk follows a Roman Road from Suffolk to the Norfolk coast.
• Thetford Priory was founded in the early 12th century. The ruins include much of the 14th century gatehouse.
• High Lodge in Brandon hosts open air concerts in the summer and has cycling routes and sculpture trails. Also here is Go Ape! – a high-wire adventure course of rope bridges, tarzan swings and zip slides.
• Puddledock Farm has a large pond, which is available to campers.
• Newmarket is the home of British Horse Racing. It has two racecourses and regularly hosts racing meets and events.
• Banham Zoo is home to some of the world’s most exotic, rare and endangered animals. See tigers, cheetahs, meerkats and wolves here.
• Bewilderwood is a curious treehouse adventure with peaceful paths, zip wires, jungle bridges and organic food.
• The Great Eastern Pingo Trail is an eight-mile walk linking pingos – circular ponds created by glaciation during the last Ice Age.
• Norwich is England’s best preserved medieval city. It has two cathedrals, a Norman castle, and an Art Deco City Hall. The amazing 21st century Forum houses the Norfolk and Norwich Millennium Library.
