This is an excellent Site with first class
facilities; public transport is so convenient, whether it’s bus or train. This Site has everything going for it. - Mrs B Lyne
What's on?
- Emsworth is a couple of miles from Site
and is popular with sailors, artists,
naturalists and walkers. You can visit the
traditional shipwrights and chandlers, and
the harbour is a temporary home to
many migrating birds.
- The city of Chichester is a few miles to
the east. It has a Norman cathedral, an
excellent Festival Theatre and many
examples of Georgian architecture.
- The Weald and Downland Open Air
Museum is the leading museum of
historic buildings in England.
- Fishbourne Roman Palace has an
unmatched collection of mosaics.
- Portsmouth’s Historic Dockyard holds the
Mary Rose and HMS Victory. The city’s
newest attraction is Spinnaker Tower,
the 170m tall landmark at Gunwharf Quays.
- The South Downs Planetarium has shows
throughout the year.
- The Sussex Coastal Footpath passes close to the Club Site.
- Denmans Garden is only four
acres, but is beautiful all-year-round.
- Goodwood is home to motorsport, horse
racing, golf and aviation.
- West Wittering beach is
uncommercialised and sandy, and ideal
for families.
- There are several scenic walks from the
Club Site. Ask for details at reception.
- Because of the narrow entrance road,
there are no overnight parking facilities at
Chichester Club Site.
