Walk a few steps from our Club Site at Beadnell Bay and you are among the sand dunes of the North Northumberland Heritage Coast. In the other direction you will find idyllic countryside – a forgotten paradise.

What's on?
- The Coast and Castles and National Cycle
Routes pass the Club Site.
- Walkers will enjoy exploring the
surrounding Cheviot Hills.
- The local sand dunes are a haven for
birdlife, even in winter.
- Much of the lovely Northumberland
Heritage Coast is designated both a
Heritage Coast and an Area of
Outstanding Natural Beauty.
- Bamburgh’s Grace Darling Museum
commemorates the 22-year-old who
rescued many sailors in 1838.
- The medieval Alnwick Castle makes a
good day out. It has provided the
backdrop for many films and TV series,
including the Elizabeth, Blackadder and
the Harry Potter movie.
- The Grand Cascade is the largest water
feature of its kind in the UK. The Cascade
is in Alnwick Garden.
- Visit some of Northumberland’s many
castles and fortified buildings – known as
bastles and peletowers. These include
Kielder, Bamburgh, and Chillingham.
- Bamburgh Castle has stunning views over
the Holy Island of Lindisfarne. The island
itself is only accessible at low tide.
- Beadnell and Seahouses harbours are
famous for watersports, attracting divers,
anglers, windsurfers and canoeists. The
Club Site has a shower for those in
wetsuits.
- Take a boat from Seahouses to the Farne Islands, home to around 55,000 pairs of
nesting puffins.
