Our new Tavistock Club Site lies on the west side of Dartmoor National Park and enjoys
fabulous views over the moor. You can leave the car behind and explore the moorland
paths, lanes and rivers on foot.

What's on?
- Tavistock town hosts a daily Pannier
Market selling local food, plants and many
collectors’ items.
- Princetown is home to Dartmoor Prison
and its intriguing Museum.
- The village of Lydford to the north has a
Norman Castle. Find out how the Tinners
Parliament imprisoned tin miners.
- Lydford Gorge is the deepest gorge in
south west England, stretching a mile and
a half from the Devil’s Cauldron whirlpool
to the 100ft White Lady Waterfall.
- The Granite Way is a mostly traffic-free,
11-mile cycle and walk way from
Okehampton to Lydford – part of the
National Cycle Network.
- Dartmoor National Park has a beautiful
moorland landscape with wooded valleys
and wind-swept Tors. Families can try
‘letterboxing’ – a form of orienteering.
- The Finch Foundry Museum shows how
trades developed to support local
industry. It is home to the mill leat and
launder.
- Horse-riding is available from the
award-winning Cholwell Riding Stables.

- Sir Francis Drake’s home of Buckland
Abbey is one of several National Trust
properties in the area.
- The towns and cities of Plymouth,
Barnstaple and Exeter are accessible by
