outside the M25 – London’s orbital motorway. But you would never know. You will hear
birdsong, not traffic.

What's on?
- Two circular walks pass over Oldbury Camp
– a large Iron Age hill fort. The hill is now
covered by woodland and managed by the
National Trust for England and Wales.
- Sevenoaks town is to the west. It has good shopping facilities, leisure centres and
places for meals out.
- Enjoy the local countryside at one of many local parks – like Lullingstone, Shoreham
Woods or Kemsing Down.
- Nepicar Farm is a good day out for families with younger children.
- Downderry nursery is the country’s premier lavender nursery.
- Lullingstone Castle featured in the recent
BBC2 series, Save Lullingstone Castle, and is home to the new World Garden of Plants.
- The childhood home of Anne Boleyn was
Hever Castle. It has a water and yew maze.
Dickens World takes visitors back to the
Victorian world of author Charles Dickens.
- Paddock Wood is home to the world’s
largest collection of oast houses. The Hop
Farm has children’s play areas, museums
and interactive exhibitions of Kent’s past.
- Tonbridge and its neighbour, Tunbridge
Wells are both to the south.
- Igtham Mote has 650 years of history in
one house and is a National Trust property.
- The Historic Dockyard at Chatham includes the RNLI’s lifeboat collection.
- Trains to London leave from Borough Green.
