Walkers, ramblers and all those who enjoy the great outdoors will love our Keswick Site.
On the shore of Derwentwater, the Site is only a couple of minutes’ walk from the centre of town. You may even spot a red squirrel or otter on Site.

What's on?
- Keswick is home to the Pencil Museum
with its story of Borrowdale graphite and
the Black Market.
- The town hosts several festivals and
events during the year including a Jazz
Festival, Beer Festival and Keswick
Convention Bible Weeks.
- The Keswick Climbing Wall and Activity
Centre offers abseiling, ghyll scrambling
and an assault course.
- Trotters World of Animals has an active
lynx conservation project, zebras, gibbons,
snakes and more.
- A regular ferry service operates around
the lake. Discounted tickets are available
from reception on Site.
- The Theatre by the Lake is on the shores
of Derwentwater, and stages a variety of
productions throughout the year.
- The Dodd viewpoint and Whinlatter Visitor Centre give the opportunity to watch the ospreys in flight over Bassenthwaite Lake.
- Grisedale Forest Park is home to a Go
Ape! high-wire forest adventure and the
ten-mile North Face Mountain Bike Trail.
- Grasmere was home to the poet William
Wordsworth and two of his homes are
open to visitors.
- Gretna Green is the gateway to Scotland
and is famous for its Blacksmith’s Shop
and its history of illicit weddings.
