The beautiful coastline of North Norfolk is a short walk away from the Club Site at
West Runton. Inland you will find gentle, rolling countryside, which is accessible by
public transport.

What's on?
- The beach at West Runton is accessible
from the clifftop car park. It is ideal for
swimming and exploring rock pools.
- Both West and East Runton are quaint
Norfolk fishing villages.
- The Norfolk Shire Horse Centre has
several breeds of horses and a collection
of wagons and carts.
- Worstead village gives its name to the
woollen fabric woven by Flemish workers
in the 14th century.
- Roman Camp’s heaths and woodlands are
managed by the National Trust.
- The seaside towns of Sheringham and
Cromer have many attractions. Each has a
carnival week during the summer.
- The North Norfolk Railway line is known
as the Poppy Line, because of the flowers
lining the track in summer.
Sheringham Park is famous for its
rhododendrons and azaleas.
- Cromer Museum contains the remains of
Britain’s oldest fossil – the West Runton
Elephant – and the cast of the skull of
the giant Mosasaur reptile.
- Climb the Beacon, the highest point on
the coast, for excellent views inland and
to sea.
- Holkham Hall is home to the Earl and
Countess of Leicester, who also own the
local beach and nature reserve.
- Felbrigg Hall is a 17th century house with
park, walled garden, dovecote and
orangery.
- The Muckleburgh Collection is the UK’s
largest privately-owned, working military
museum. It includes exhibitions on air
sea rescue and local regiments.
