We love this Site so much that this is our
third summer here. Easy travel into London is a factor but most of all the tranquillity and serenity of Walton together with its
plethora of wildlife makes this our home from home. - Val Keogh and Bill Carey
What's on?
- Hampton Court is Henry VIII’s majestic
palace on the Thames.
- Trains into London leave from the station, around a mile away.
- Brooklands Museum is at the home of
British motorsport and aviation and
Mercedes-Benz World.
- Horse riding is available from several local
centres close to the Site.
- Chertsey Museum is home to over 15,000
objects, from Runnymede social history to
fantastic fashions.
- The Surrey Hills offer opportunities for
Nordic Walking, llama treking and mountain
biking as well as a gentle stroll.
- There are three theme parks in the area – Thorpe Park, Chessington World of
Adventures and Legoland.
- Claremont Landscape Garden has a
spectacular three-acre turf amphitheatre,
unique in Europe.
- The glorious gardens of RHS Wisley are
also nearby.
- Walk along the river bank into Hersham.
The local golf course gives a discount to

- This Site is a lovely place to get away from it all, with limited facilities. Campers who
prefer a toilet and shower block may stay at
Chertsey or Horsley.
