Our Club Site at Lynton is beautifully located right above the Exmoor coast, with panoramic
views over to Wales from many pitches. The area is a walker’s paradise, with coastal
walks and the Exmoor National Park both nearby.

What's on?
- Take the footpath from the Site through a
wooded valley to the retreat centre at Lee
Abbey. Dolphins visit Lee Bay, wild goats
are in the Valley of the Rocks and the
views are spectacular.
- Lynton town has many shops, tea rooms
and other places to eat out.
- The Lynton and Lynmouth Cliff Railway
connects the two towns. The unique
Victorian lift is water-powered.
- Buses stop near the Site and go to
Barnstaple and Ilfracombe or Porlock and
Minehead.
- Exmoor Zoo specialises in smaller
animals, from tiny monkeys to
the largest rodent in the world.
- The Lynton and Barnstaple
Railway runs narrow gauge
steam trains from Woody Bay
station. It has some lovely views.
- The Royal Horticultural Society
garden at Rosemoor has rose
gardens, children’s trails, model
gardens and more.
- Combe Martin has a Wildlife
and Dinosaur Park and the UK’s
only wolf education and research
centre.
- Watermouth Castle has a family
theme park and castle treasures.
- See Exmoor on horseback from
Outovercott Riding Stables. Treks go along
the Lyn river valley, over the moor or
around the coast.
- Arlington Court is managed by the
National Trust and houses its carriage
collection. Carriage rides are available in
the grounds.
- The famous beaches of North Devon are
excellent for surfing and other
watersports.
- South Molton is home to a honey farm,
chocolate factory and a local museum
complete with cider press.
