We spent many a happy hour watching the
squirrels and of course the birds and other wildlife at this wonderful Site.

What's on?
- Shrewsbury has a wealth of timberframed
and Georgian houses, steep,
narrow streets and little alleys – all in a
loop of the River Severn.
- Wroxeter – Roman Viriconium – was
probably one of the largest Roman
settlements in the UK. Visit the English
Heritage Visitor Centre to find out more.
- Haughmond Abbey was an Augustine
abbey. It is close to the Club Site and is
also managed by English Heritage.
- The ten award-winning museums of the
Ironbridge Gorge are spread along the
River Severn. Become a Victorian for the
day at Blists Hill, discover the inner
workings of everyday objects at
Enginuity, explore the Coalport China
Museum and much more.
- Telford is a new town with extensive
shopping facilities, sports and leisure
complexes, ice skating and the
Oakengates Theatre.
- Attingham Park is an outstanding
Regency home surrounded by stunning
parkland.
- The Severn Bore is a wave which travels
upstream several times a year.
- The Severn Valley Railway runs steamhauled trains along 16 miles of track
from Bridgenorth to Kidderminster, much
of it following the River Severn.
