Lyme Regis - Church Beach
The beautiful harbour town of Lyme Regis in Dorset is known for its towering cliffs, which are part of the Jurassic Coast and home to many fossils.
This is also where you will find the lovely, sandy Church Beach, which is a popular destination amongst beach goers and offers a host of facilities and activities for visitors to benefit from. With buses running to the centre of town, reaching this beach via public transport shouldn’t pose an issue.
There are plenty of standard and disabled car parking spaces near to the beach too, so those planning to drive should not experience any issues. A variety of facilities available at the beach will ensure that you benefit from ease and convenience, with facilities such as toilets, disabled facilities, eateries, first aid facilities, and a lifeguard onsite.
The beach is also regularly cleaned by the local authority. Dogs are not allowed on the beach during the summer and it is worth noting that the water quality at this beach is not particularly good.
While the water quality may not be ideal for traditional beach activities, one of the things that this beach does offer is access to some wonderful coastal walks offering stunning views.
