Hive Beach, Burton Bradstock
Stretching for over a mile, Hive Beach is a coarse sand beach situated in Burton Bradstock, Dorset.
Surrounded by towering cliffs as well as farmland, the beach is easily accessible, both by public transport or your own vehicle. It is well served by buses and there are also car parking facilities available for those looking to drive.
There is no lifeguard onsite at this beach, although it does offer decent water quality. It is worth noting that between June and October no dogs are allowed on the beach – something that families and individuals with pet dogs should bear in mind.
The beach offers a couple of key facilities for the benefit of visitors, which includes a cafeteria and toilet facilities. In terms of things to do while at this beach, fishing is a popular pastime as fossil hunting.
There are some great coastal and footpaths in the area too, so cycling or walking to take in the views and surroundings is also very popular amongst visitors who come here. This is a beach that is ideal if you want peace, tranquillity, and the chance to relax.
