Durdle Door - West
A narrow stretch of beach that has become known for the Durdle Door Arch, Durdle Door – West Beach is made up of sand and shingle.
The beach is located in West Lulworth, Dorset and is accessed via a steep 800 meter pathway. This is something that you should bear in mind if you suffer from mobility problems.
You will be able to access a range of facilities at this beach, from toilets disabled facilities. In addition, you will find a cafeteria and a shop here. If you have a pet you will be pleased to know that the beach does allow dogs all year round.
There is no lifeguard onsite at Durdle Door – West Beach but the water quality is very good and offers a wide variety of water activities.
Although the beach is cleaned on a regular basis, it is also worth bearing in mind that there can be marine debris from time to time.
If you enjoy walking and you like to soak up natural beauty, you will find that some of the coastal walks that you can take here are excellent.
