Festivals & Heritage

The Lakeland Motor Museum is a real treat for car enthusiasts and novices alike. Visitors can see cars and motorbikes representing over 100 years of motoring heritage, as well as one of the largest collections of motoring memorabilia on public display in the UK.

In pride of place is an exhibition devoted to the the Bluebird series of cars and boats, used by Sir Malcolm and Donald Campbell to capture 21 world land and water speed records. Highlights include full size detailed replicas of the 1935 Bluebird car, the 1939 boat, Bluebird K4, and the famous 1967 jet hydroplane, Bluebird K7. You can also see the bikes and learn about the riders of Isle of Man TT in the new tribute exhibition.

Refreshments are available at the Café Ambio, which offers locally sourced, home-made food and beautiful views of the River Leven.
