Festivals & Heritage

Why not visit a beautiful open-air museum in the North York Moors National Park. Ryedale Folk Museum demonstrates traditional crafts and trades including chemist, saddler, blacksmith, wheelwright, and undertaker, as well as displaying a host of artefacts from the local area. As well as an exciting program of events and workshops, you can see the specially restored houses and buildings, including a Foldyard of agricultural machinery, a special display dedicated to The Life and Times of Photographer T. Geoffrey Willey and the Highlights of the Harrison Collection exhibition. With 5 acres of exhibits to explore, you’ll have plenty to do. Refreshments are available from the museum’s tea rooms.
