Festivals & Heritage

Raby Castle will give visitors a chance to explore a medieval fortress from the 11th century with its towers, turrets and embattled walls. Wander through the Entrance Hall, Chapel and Barons' Hall, admire the Octagon Drawing Room and the Medieval Kitchen which was in use until 1954. Fabulous art treasures on show include an important collection of Meissen porcelain, tapestries, furnishings and paintings by leading artists such as Munnings, De Hooch, Teniers, Van Dyck and Reynolds.

Visitors can explore the grounds from the ornamental gardens to the deer park. Why not see the Carriages at the coach house, and children will love the Woodland Adventure Playground, with its rustic obstacle course that includes an army style zip wire. Refreshments and souvenirs are available at the Gift Shop and Tea Rooms.
