The Canterbury Ales

The Canterbury Ales

Whilst a standard visit to The Canterbury Tales immerses guests in the sights, sounds and smells of the medieval world, the visitor attraction’s brand new evening event will now invite guests to experience the taste! In the atmospheric surroundings of 14th century England, guests to the event on Friday 21 July will undertake an Ale Tasting Experience, in partnership with The Canterbury Ales. Three tour times are available at 7pm, 7:40pm and 8:20pm.

As guests take their journey through the visitor attraction, each room along the way will see a new ale tasting opportunity, with each product of The Canterbury Ales range corresponding with the tale the room represents.

The Canterbury Tales is the only attraction in the world dedicated to celebrating the works of Geoffrey Chaucer, the father of English Literature who is widely considered to be the greatest English poet of the Middle Ages. Visitors are invited to join Chaucer and his band of pilgrims as they embark on a journey from The Tabard Inn in London to the shrine of St Thomas Becket in Canterbury Cathedral.
