Science & Knowledge

The largest dedicated Helicopter Museum in the World, with over 80 helicopters and autogyros on display. The Helicopter Museum not only conserves full size helicopters but also has an extensive collection of literature, audio visual material and memorabilia covering the history of rotorcraft from around the world.

You can see amazing aircraft from the Campbell Cougar autogyro to Mil Mi-24D Hind, as well as bizarre curiosities like the prototype Gyroboat, literally a dinghy with rotor blades that could fly when towed behind a speedboat capable of 50km/h(30mph). The Helicopter Museum is also the home of the fastest helicopter in the world, the G-LYNX, which reached 249.09mph setting an Absolute World Speed Record that remains unbroken to this day.

You can even round off the day with a trip in a real helicopter!
