Science & Knowledge

With over 70 aircraft of international importance are housed in three Wartime Hangars and within the National Cold War Exhibition, RAF Cosford is a brilliant day out. See the world’s oldest Spitfire and a Lincoln Bomber, the TSR2 and Bristol Type 188 in the test flight hanger and the Comet 1A and Gnat T1, previously used by the Red Arrows. There engine and missile collections arguably one of the finest collections in the world.

Alongside the aircraft are related exhibitions, memorabilia and touch screen kiosks. See Roland Rat and Percy the Penguin in the Lucky Charms display in the model room adjacent to Test Flight. See life size Russian dolls and the 1:1 scale Airfix Spitfire as featured on the James May Toy Stories series shown on BBC2, complete with a model pilot.

Don't forget to visit RAF London too...
