Festivals & Heritage

The family home of Sir Reginald and Lady Sheffield, Sutton Park is a fine example of early Georgian architecture overlooking beautiful parkland. Boasting a collection of 18th century furniture, paintings from Buckingham Palace, and an important collection of porcelain, there is lots to see and admire.

The gardens feature herbaceous rose borders full of rare and interesting plants which have been laid out with great care over the past thirty five years. In the grounds this is a Georgian Icehouse and visitors can walk through the woodlands. The gardens won the Silver Award in Yorkshire in Bloom 2011 and 2012, and attract visitors from both home and abroad.
