The Traditional May Day Fayre is an offshoot of the Wolverley Carnival and takes place on the Sunday before May Day Bank Holiday Monday at the Church Hall. Visitors can enjoy dancing, renactments, games and a BBQ! The Solcum Mummers re-enact the story of The Swan, a legend about local knight, Sir John Attwood, who, having been captured by the Saracens during the crusades, miraculously gets carried back home to Wolverley on the back of a white swan. All proceeds from the May Day Fair and Solcum Mummers are added to those of the Wolverley Carnival and distributed amongst non-profit making village organisations.
