Festivals & Heritage

Towards the end of the nineteenth century a group of local businessmen developed the tramway in order to help visitors to the beach, reach top of the Great Orme to enjoy the spectacular views. Now the restored tram system is beautiful piece of heritage in its own right. Ride up the great Orme in the original cars, each named for a saint, and enjoy the Halfway Station Exhibition which will tell you all about these marvellous machines.

Trams run every 20 minutes, 7 days a week during the season. Well behaved dogs on leads welcome.
