Knitting Competition Fun
Knitters are being invited to let their needles do the talking by entering our competition.
Campers of all ages can show their crafty sides by knitting their way to a great prize – a year’s membership to the Camping & Caravanning Club and £50 to spend at old-fashioned haberdashery store Scissor Stitch in Rubery, Birmingham.
All knitted items have to have a camping/caravanning theme so you could knit a camping site tea cosy (pictured), a VW beanie hat, jumper, or cushion for example, or just let your imagination run wild!
The competition, called Knitter Twitter, will be running on the Club magazine’s Twitter account and can be found at @FriendlyClubMag #knittertwitter
Items don’t have to be knitted either – a crocheted woolly creation will be just as welcome.
All submitted items will be photographed and posted on Twitter as they come in.
Not only is the competition a good way of having fun during the dark nights, it is also a generous way of helping to save lives.
For the submitted entries will not be returned but form part of a silent auction – where people submit sealed bids – with all proceeds being donated to the Midlands Air Ambulance.
Find out more about how you could spend your £50 prize at www.scissorstitch.co.uk or follow the shop on Twitter @myscissorstitch
To see exactly how the Midlands Air Ambulance helps to save lives log on to www.midlandsairambulance.com or follow the service on Twitter @MAA_Charity
The competition is open to members and non-members of the Club, so spread the word!
Postal entries can be sent to Knitter Twitter, The Camping and Caravanning Club, Greenfields House, Westwood Way, Coventry, CV4 8JH. Please include your name, address and daytime phone number.
Closing date for entries is noon on 2 April. The editor’s decision is final.
