Camping in the Forest Launches New Cookery Competition
Camping in the Forest has launched an online cookery competition to find the best tried and tested campsite recipes in return for some tasty prizes.
The leading outdoor organisation is urging campers to share and upload their recipes via its website (www.campingintheforest.co.uk/news/2012/07/recipe-competition) - all campers need to do is simply provide a list of ingredients, instructions on how to make the dish and a photograph of the completed meal.
The best recipes will take pride of place on Camping in the Forest’s website, plus the top five lucky entrants will also receive an infusion oil gift set which will complement many campsite made meals.
The competition is now live and will run until Friday, August 23.
Spencer Pettit, Camping in the Forest’s Business Development Officer, said: “Do you pride yourself on cooking great meals on a camping trip? Well now you can share those recipes with fellow campers and win yourself some great prizes in the process!
“For some, cooking nutritious meals for the whole family can be difficult but this competition will draw on the expertise of the many budding campsite chefs from across the country, to give holidaymakers tasty but yet healthy recipe ideas which the whole family will enjoy.
“And there’s no better place to pitch up and cook than on one of our 20 Camping in the Forest Sites, located on idyllic Forestry Commission land across the country.
“We look forward to receiving your entries soon – good luck!”
