The Camping and Caravanning Club’s hugely popular Caravan and Motorhome Manoeuvring Courses are available from March 2007.
The Club has been running Manoeuvring Courses for over 12 years and, so far, almost 7,000 novice and experienced caravanners and motor home users have benefited from the one-day courses, which aim to promote the importance of safety on the road and help build the skills and confidence of those taking part.
The syllabus includes reversing techniques, manoeuvring skills, tips on loading, hitching, unhitching as well as general towing law and advice. The day will include plenty of hands-on experience as well as classroom training. Courses are available throughout the UK.
All Manoeuvring Courses are run by Instructors who are professional driving tutors as well as Club members and caravan or motorhome users. Each Instructor will assist a maximum of four course participants at a time, allowing for individual needs to be met and all questions answered. On successful completion of the course, participants will be presented with a Manoeuvring Course DVD or video, a helpful Safe Towing for Life handbook and a certificate which can be used towards the Institute of Advanced Motorists Towing Test.
The Manoeuvring Courses are available at last year’s prices – just £85.00 for Camping and Caravanning Club members. Non-members will also pay the cost of joining the Club.
