More camp sites, events and adventures - at the touch of a button.

The Camping and Caravanning Club has launched two new online services that will change how camping holidays are chosen and when they are taken – SiteSeeker and EventSeeker – as well as providing more sites online than ever before.

The Club now offers anyone who visits its website access to details of over 1,400 camp sites in the UK. This includes over 100 award-winning Club Sites and in excess of 1,265 smaller Certificated Sites which are often in rural settings. You can now also search for Forest Holidays Sites which are part of the Club’s network thanks to the joint partnership with the Forestry commission.

SiteSeeker, one of the new systems available from the Club, enables visitors looking for their perfect camp site to choose the right one for their unique camp site adventure. Sites are searchable regionally and through type i.e. hideaway, coastal or sheltered, as well as the facilities available on site such as toilets, swimming pools and whether dogs are welcome etc. There will even be featured sites to whet your appetite.

As part of this, Google Maps provide amazing aerial views of the sites and the surrounding areas and also allows for alternative sites in and around the appropriate area to be found. Alongside this, there are plenty of things to make finding a site easier including motorhome friendly directions to sites, Ordinance Survey coordinates and OS style maps which will show the terrain surrounding sites – provided by Multimap.

EventSeeker, the new online directory, gives campers access to thousands of events and attractions all over the as well as regional destination guides – all at the touch of a button. Find a place to stay then pick a favourite past time be it historical places of interest, farmers markets concerts etc - it’s all there – online. Alternatively, if there’s something special to do or see and accommodation is needed, the same facility can be used to find the perfect camp site nearby.

With more pictures of Club and Forest Holidays Sites available, as well as some 360 degree tours of sites, it’s easier to choose your ideal camp site. It’s also easier to book your camp sites as Forest Holidays Sites are now available directly through the Club website. Full contact details, prices and opening dates are now available for Certificated Sites also.

Robert Louden, Director of Operations and Deputy Director General: “This is the most comprehensive system of its kind. It will give campers, caravanners and motorhome users more information on sites and the area around those sites than any other system of its kind. It’s quick and easy and takes the trouble out of planning the ideal adventure for all the family.

“This system will keep on growing and providing up to date information for anyone organising their holiday with The Camping and Caravanning Club.”
