Pitch, Hitch And Join In The Fun Of National Camping And Caravanning Week - 27 May To 2 June 2006

Sponsored by Unipart Leisure, manufacturer of Royal and the UK’s leading suppliers of camping and caravanning accessories, and run by The Camping and Caravanning Club, National Camping and Caravanning Week is the perfect opportunity to get out and try camping in any of its forms – from tents, to caravans to motorhomes.

Not only does the Week run over Spring Bank Holiday - so you’ll have the opportunity to meet some avid campers, caravanners and motor caravanners out making the most of their time off work - there'll also be some great deals on camping gear leading up to and during the Week, including camping starter kits for under £100.

There’ll be representatives from The Camping and Caravanning Club and Unipart Leisure and Royal travelling the country, visiting camp sites and giving away camping gear and other goodies. Keep an eye out for caravans and motorhomes with the National Camping and Caravanning Week logo on. Alternatively, look on the www.nccw.co.uk where you’ll get some hints.

You’ll find some information on the website about events and camping offers on during the week. In addition, you can register your participation whether you’re camping alone, with your family, or if there’s a group of you. The only criterion is that you’re willing to join in the fun of camping.

There’s a downloadable National Camping and Caravanning Week logo on the website, as well as posters and all the information you need to run your own event.

Camping and Caravanning Club Chairman David Batty says: "Camping and caravanning is the perfect way to explore the UK and Europe on a budget. It’s also a great way to really experience the joys of the great outdoors. All we ask is that you give it a try, and if you’re anything like our 400,000 members, you’ll love it and keep coming back for more."
