Club Credit Card - Important Notice
Why is the Club Credit Card ending?
The Club and Bank of America have had a successful relationship for many years, however it has been decided that our current relationship has now run its course. In today’s difficult financial climate, the Club is unable to continue to provide a credit card product that gives an acceptable level of benefits to both our members and the Club. For the foreseeable future therefore, we have withdrawn The Club Credit Card from our Member Service offerings.

Why is it important that I cancel my card when I’ve already paid it off?
Your credit score may be improved as you will have less available credit. This could boost your credit score as your potential for being in debt is less of an issue.

Some credit card companies will increase the interest rate to the maximum rate they are allowed as a penalty for cancelling. It is advisable to pay of the remaining balance on your card before cancelling it.
Should I tell the bank I’m cancelling as soon as I decide I don’t want my account?
When you have chosen to cancel your Club Credit Card, many financial advisors recommend that it is advisable to make sure that your balance is £0 before you advise the card issuer of your plans to close the account. Some credit card companies will up the interest rates and make it harder for you to pay off your balance if they are aware that you are planning to leave.
