The April 2017 issue of Camping & Caravanning certainly brought some happy memories flooding back. To the question posed on the From the Archive page – "Have you ever owned or camped in a tiny caravan?" – my answer is "always". Our first caravan was a Fisher Holivan – a small two-berth model. We bought it to get some towing experience – it was cheap and cheerful but didn’t get much use. It wasn’t very comfortable and rocked and swayed alarmingly on tow, almost putting put us off towing for good.
