Having joined the Club in 2014, authors Jen and Sim Benson are well used to pitching up across the network. In fact, the couple so love camping they spent the whole of 2015 under canvas with their two young children in tow. Surviving the worst the elements could throw at them, the intrepid pair still cite camping as their all-time favourite of the 50 ‘amazing family adventures’ listed in their new book of the same name.
The title was produced in conjunction with the National Trust, providing inspiration for weekend family jaunts around the country, neatly packaged according to physical abilities such as rock-pooling for very young children, to ghyll scrambling for more advanced age groups.
