In our September issue we looked at a number of District Association meets that cater directly to children. The same is true of our Special Interest Sections, which host regular events welcoming younger generations. A particular example is the Canoe-Camping Club, which hosts an annual National Families Holiday meet on the River Wye in Hereford. The meet typically takes place around the Whitsun week and is very much aimed at encouraging families to take up canoeing. It also focuses on the fun, enjoyable aspects of canoe-camping for the whole family.
