Beef and (good) ale stroganoff
This can be on the table (or balanced on your lap) in 25 minutes. Make sure you choose a really good quality ale and nothing too bitter.
Meat
Here I've used a Rauch beer called Burning House made by Madrigal Brewery in Devon. It's brewed using smoked malt giving the beer a truly wonderful smoky flavour, which goes well with the smoked paprika. An IPA works well in this too. And, as you don't need the whole bottle, you can pour the rest in your glass. A win-win dinner.
