The village of Luss is a Conservation Village – and our Club Site nearby is one of the most beautiful in the network. Pitch on the western shore of Loch Lomond, across the water from the Millarochy Bay Club Site.

This was six days of pure bliss, camped 20ft from the Loch with fantastic weather. A Site we will definitely return to. - Dave and Jay Nicholls

The village of Luss has a lovely church – recently refurbished – and slate workers’ cottages. It is often used for TV and film making, appearing in Take the High Road.

Inverbeg is to the north. It has an awardwinning Fine Art Gallery.

Cruise from Luss, Tarbert or Balloch to see Loch Lomond from the water.

The new Loch Lomond aquarium in the existing Drumkinnon Tower, near Balloch, features touch pools, ray tanks and a tropical ocean tunnel.

A new footpath and cycleway go from Balloch to Tabert. It is accessible from Site.

Thistle Kilts and Bagpipes Works is based in Luss.

Take the bus to Glasgow for shops, art galleries, museums and more.

To the south west is the River Clyde and Helensburgh. There are several sailing schools in the town.

The Hill House was built by Charles Rennie Mackintosh. The gardens have been restored to reflect the Mackintosh style and it has wonderful views over the River Clyde.

Balloch Castle Country Park is receiving a significant investment to return it to its former glory.

The Site is surrounded by the incredible scenery of the new Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park.


Did You Know

Luss Club Site appeared on the back of What Car?’s Towcar Awards 2007 supplement. Many people contacted the Club to enquire about the Site because of the lovely picture.

Worth Noting

Caravanners and Motorcaravanners must be members 24 hours before arrival on site. Maximum of 45 caravans and motor homes. Manual boat launching permitted, however only boats that can be carried and launched safely from the shore line are allowed which is free of charge.

Eat Local

Loch Lomond Shores, Balloch hosts a Farmers’ Market.

Seperate disabled facilities The Club was working to improve accessibility of our Sites long before the Disability Discrimination Act came into force in 2004. We are committed to a continual programme of improvements through access audits to ensure our facilities are available to all.


Arrivals after 8pm are only permitted by prior arrangement direct with Holiday Site Managers.
