A mile and a half from the beach, our Kessingland Site is ideal for exploring Suffolk and Norfolk. Inland there are plenty of places to visit and you will be surrounded by wildlife, including the lions at the wildlife park next door.

Please note: There are only Club Service Pitches on this site, therefore the fee of £2.90 per night applies at all times.

Kessingland is a perfect setting for a tranquil stroll through the countryside or on the shingle beaches. - Jane Harris

Africa Alive, a wildlife park, is next to the Site. It makes a great family day out, with lions, giraffes and rhinos.

Walk through the village to Kessingland Beach, a mile and a half from Site. Seals can often be seen on the sand banks.

The RSPB reserve at Minsmere is home to more than 300 species, 100 of which breed on the reserve.

Thrigby Hall Wildlife Gardens has a great tiger compound and a tree-top walk to view the animals.

The ancient town of Dunwich sank beneath the waves in the Middle Ages. Its history is told at the local museum near the beach.

The pretty, unspoilt town of Southwold is to the south. It has a lovely pier and peaceful harbour.

Pleasure Wood Hills theme park has over 30 attractions, including roller coasters and a miniature railway.

There is a supermarket with fuel a couple of miles from Site, while Kessingland village has small supermarkets, a fuel station and places to eat out.

Somerleyton Hall and village are owned by Lord Somerleyton. The picture postcard village is worth a visit, as is the Hall’s maze.

Oulton Broad is the southern gateway to the Broads National Park.

Kessingland was once rumoured to be the richest village in England.

This site has especially hard ground but is well drained.

Eat Local

Locally produced free-range eggs, bacon and awardwinning sausages are available from the Site shop. The Waterfront restaurant specialises in fish dishes. A fish and chip van visits Site on Friday evenings in the summer.
