Graffham

"The peace of the South Downs"

In the heart of the South Downs – an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty – is our Graffham Club Site. The pitches are surrounded by trees and, in the spring, there is a carpet of bluebells around the Site.

I was delighted with this astonishingly beautiful camp site. - Helen Christy

Petworth town is a few miles to the north of the Site. It is known as the antiques centre of the south. The Cottage Museum is a typical estate worker’s dwelling from the beginning of the 20th century.

The National Trust property of Petworth House has a 30-acre woodland garden. The estate was landscaped by “Capability” Brown in the 18th century.

Amberley Working Museum has more than 30 buildings housing working craftspeople and exhibitions.

Pulborough Brooks nature reserve is managed by the RSPB and is known for its water birds.

Bignor Roman Villa has some of the best preserved Roman mosaics in the world. Iping and Stedham Common both have nature reserves. Lizards and adders bask here on hot days.

Littlehampton, Worthing, East and West Witterings and Bognor Regis all have lovely sandy beaches and are a short drive away.

Defence of the Realm is a collection of over 30 castles, museums, great ships and stately homes throughout the county of Hampshire.

The town of Arundel is to the south east. It has a castle, museum and heritage centre.

Goodwood has a history of horse racing, motorsport and aviation.

Eat Local

Petworth and Midhurst Farmers’ Markets alternate every fourth Saturday of the month. Petworth Butcher’s Shop sells locally reared meat and the Deli sells a range of local produce.

Worth Noting

Some pitches are sloping and chocks are required. Please note, because of the surrounding environment, only gas barbeques are allowed on this site – no charcoal. Please note, it is advisable not to drive through Petworth, follow the "Lorries" signage, to avoid narrow roads in the town.
