The wonderful, new Club Site at Delamere Forest – near Chester – opened for the first time in 2007. It is still developing and includes many environmentally friendly features to complement the forest around

Superb Site and facilities, well spaced pitches, and an excellent area for walking and cycling. - Mr and Mrs D Jones

Delamere Forest itself has many forest roads and trails – ideal for walking and cycling – and the Linmere Visitor Centre and cafe. Bikes can be hired at the Visitor Centre. The Forest also hosts regular, high profile concerts.

Go Ape is a high wire forest adventure for teenagers and adults.

The picturesque railway station is next to the Site. Trains go to Chester and Manchester. The station also has a good cafe.

The historic city of Chester has a beautiful, Gothic cathedral, the 13th century “Rows” of shops and Britain’s largest Roman Amphitheatre.

Chester Zoo is one of the largest zoos in the country.

Britain’s first and now England’s only working Boat Lift is at Anderton.

Liverpool – the European Capital of Culture 2008 – is half an hour’s drive from Site.

The Railway Age museum is based in Crewe and has a viewing area over the famous mainline railway junction.

English Heritage now manages Beeston Castle, on a cliff top with amazing views.

Cholmondeley Castle Garden is one of England’s most romantic gardens and surrounds a Gothic castle.


Eat Local

RMWilding is a farm shop with a “pick your own” area. Eddisbury Fruit Farm Shop claims to be the home of Cheshire apple juice and cider. The Hollies Farm shop supplies a range of produce, including wine, meat and fish.

Worth Noting

The Go Ape! Outdoor Activity Centre is only a short stroll from the site. There is 70 miles of forest path for walking or cycling. this site has poor TV reception.

Seperate disabled facilities The Club was working to improve accessibility of our Sites long before the Disability Discrimination Act came into force in 2004. We are committed to a continual programme of improvements through access audits to ensure our facilities are available to all.
