Ideal campsite for exploring local market towns or walks on the Malvern Hills.

Blackmore Club campsite enjoys a peaceful setting in the Worcestershire countryside with stunning views across to the Malvern Hills. It combines plenty of green open space with more sheltered pitches around the site perimeter. As well as clean, modern toilet blocks, the excellent on site facilities include a recreation room with pool table, dog walk and children’s play area.

One of the appeals of this award-wining site is its proximity to the Malvern Hills – an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty ¬- which offers fantastic walking and cycling opportunities on over 100 miles of paths and bridleways. In fact, so popular is the area for walking, it hosts a nine-day walking festival. If you prefer walks of the not so challenging type, the pretty village of Hanley Swan, with a choice of two pubs, is just a mile’s stroll from the site.

If you want to travel a bit further afield but leave your vehicle behind, there’s a bus stop just outside the site with an hourly service to Malvern, Upton and Worcester.

Ready Camp is available at this campsite. (Please note that, although we welcome dogs on this site, in the interest of all guests we do not permit pets to stay within the Ready Camp tents).

Weather forcast was good and off we went for a 3 night stay.

This review is for Blackmore

Weather forcast was good and off we went for a 3 night stay. Welcomed on arrival and given option of shaded or open pitch for our Motorhome but hardstanding areas are only option for Motorhomes despite open grassy areas throughout site. I can understand this as grass would be left with tread-marks. Only confusion was with our awning, it was recommended that the awning be positioned also onto the hardstanding area but I failed to understand this as my steel pegs could not be hammered-down (maybe I'm missing something)?. We were allowed to erect the awning mainly on grass so no major problem. Toilets/showers clean modern but note NO key-code on any doors and my wife felt vulnerable using facilities in the dark. Site is about 0.75 miles from nearest pub (Swan at Hanley Swan) and bus stop about 200 yards from entrance going to either Worcester or Tewskesbury (note bus-stop is actually missing from the eastbound side. Adequate small shop on site, staff always helpful and informative about local area. TV reception was ok (BBC) despite other reviews. ITV not so good. Would return

Bus stop very close to site, Upton a lovely village to visit.

Bus stop very close to site, Upton a lovely village to visit. We happened to be at the site when there was a jazz festival at Upton, it was quite busy but still really enjoyable. Quite a few pubs near to the river, also river cruise trips on a regular basis. There are some very quaint shops in Upton to enjoy! Worcester is only a bus journey away-busier than Upton but well worth a visit. This site was very well kept by very friendly staff- pitches were a good size, showers and toilets were very clean and in good condition. Fir youngsters there is a small playground with swings etc. whether you want a relaxing break or to be more active then this site is superb. We will definitely be visiting again especially when travelling south to Cornwall.

Trees all around and braches overhead allowed very little sunlight to come through. The staff not very friendly on arrival or during stay, very seldom got acknowledged and almost never smiled. Not a good site to relax on, but some good places of interest around.
