Ideal campsite for exploring local market towns or walks on the Malvern Hills.

Blackmore Club campsite enjoys a peaceful setting in the Worcestershire countryside with stunning views across to the Malvern Hills. It combines plenty of green open space with more sheltered pitches around the site perimeter. As well as clean, modern toilet blocks, the excellent on site facilities include a recreation room with pool table, dog walk and children’s play area.

One of the appeals of this award-wining site is its proximity to the Malvern Hills – an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty ¬- which offers fantastic walking and cycling opportunities on over 100 miles of paths and bridleways. In fact, so popular is the area for walking, it hosts a nine-day walking festival. If you prefer walks of the not so challenging type, the pretty village of Hanley Swan, with a choice of two pubs, is just a mile’s stroll from the site.

If you want to travel a bit further afield but leave your vehicle behind, there’s a bus stop just outside the site with an hourly service to Malvern, Upton and Worcester.

Ready Camp is available at this campsite. (Please note that, although we welcome dogs on this site, in the interest of all guests we do not permit pets to stay within the Ready Camp tents).

Worth Noting

TV reception is poor in some areas of the Site.

Eat Local

Because the site functioned so well, there was more time to enjoy the surrounding area rather than queuing for showers etc as at some sites. My aim in coming was to walk the Hills, and to cycle round them too. I achieved my goals! Walking the Malvern Hills when on your own [without someone helpfully dropping you off or collecting you at the far end] can effectively mean doing them in sections and then doubling back - or looking into public transport options. I found this app very helpful: https://www.visitthemalverns.org/things-to-do/walking/mobile-walking-app/. You download the route instructions in advance so that you don't need to be online when you are doing the walk, but can simply read the clear instructions off your phone. There is a range of walks, but it is worth noting that if you go for the End to End option you need to start at the South End for it to make sense [it would be great if all the routes were reversible but as it stands the inbuilt photos only really work for the direction according to which the route was outlined, so that you recognise landmarks as you approach them]. Thanks again to the hard-working staff, who were always helpful.

Easy access roads, well signposted.

Easy access roads, well signposted. Friendly welcome with a choice of pitches; we chose a sunny pitch. Only disconcerting thing, for me, was the grass pitches were in the middle of a ring of hardstanding pitches. It became amusing to watch the grass pitch cars chose their access route to their caravan except when one slid sideways towards our Motorhome when he met the grass too fast (we were hardstanding). Toilets & showers were clean but could benefit from updating to make this site truly 5*. We will return.

We having been camping at this site for a number of years and it never disappoints. Within easy reach of the Malvern hills, and a short walk to the local pub at Henley Swan The wardens are always welcoming in our opinion it has to be the clubs best site.

Having just returned from this beautiful site, I have had a wonderful holiday with my 2 dogs.

Having just returned from this beautiful site, I have had a wonderful holiday with my 2 dogs. Staff were very helpful providing me with information on how to get to various places for some lovely walks around the area including giving me a map of the Malvern Hills. I booked 7 nights but left a night early due to the prospect of heavy rain on the morning I was due to leave and I did not fancy the job of taking home a soaking wet tent. On arrival I mentioned that I liked to keep out of the way and asked if I could have a pitch where it would not be easy to walk around the back of the tent as not to upset the dog, the lady found me a lovely pitch, right next to the dogs walk area and along the hedge (rather than in the middle of the site) If you enjoy walking this is the perfect site to use as a base, there is a lovely public footpath next door which takes you to the next village of Guarlford, all within a quick drive is Upton on Sea where you can walk along the River Severn, you can explore the Malvern HIlls and Castlemorton Common. Staff at the site are very friendly and when possible stop for a chat, I was a little nervous at the thought of camping alone with the dogs but those nerves went when I discovered that it truly is a very friendly site.
