Gentle walks and cycle rides are top of the to do list from our Wolverley Club campsite.

Surrounded by the stunning Worcestershire countryside and with the Staffordshire and Worcestershire canal just 60 metres from site means you really can enjoy life in the slow lane.

The Lock Inn adjacent to the canal and a couple of minutes’ walk from the campsite provides an excellent resting place to enjoy a pint (or frozen cider) and partake in a spot of gongoozling. There are some lovely walks to be enjoyed along the canal towpath especially as there is Springfields country park near the canal were fishing is available and a great play park for the children. Stop off in Kidderminster and, as well as shops and eateries, you’ll find the Severn Valley Railway. Board a steam train and enjoy the 16 mile journey through glorious countryside to Bridgnorth.

There are numerous opportunities for family days out from the campsite. Explore 1,000 years of history at Hartlebury Museum near Kidderminster. Bodenham Aboretum and Earth Centre , Wolverley and Arley Aboretum, Arley village are wonderlands of trees and shrubs and for animal lovers the West Midland Safari and Leisure Park, Dudley Zoo and Rays Farm are not to be missed.

Back at camp, there’ still more to do. There’s a playing field for youngsters to let off steam adjacent to the campsite and a large recreation room with table tennis and a pool table keep children occupied in bad weather. There’s an excellent dog walk and a good range of facilities including showers, laundry and site shop.

Stayed here for 2 nights Friday - Sunday & had a super weekend.

Stayed here for 2 nights Friday - Sunday & had a super weekend. From the minute we arrived on site we had a friendly warm welcome. The site is lovely & clean plenty of showers & toilets with lots of hanging places for all you toiletries & towels. There is a pub just out side of the site right next to the canal so you can sit & watch the narrow boats go through the lock which my boys loved. You are very close to Dudley & Kidderminster if you did want to venture out for the day. The holiday site managers had organised a sports day for the children ( a couple of the dads joined in too ! ) on the Saturday, absolutely fantastic. All the kids got a prize after each race which was lovely & they also had ice lollies after the races had finished. Really well organised & such a lovely thing to do for the kids. Would recommend this site to anyone, its in a fab location, really clean, quiet & has brilliant holiday site managers. We really enjoyed our stay & will definitely be returning.5 Star site !!

A great site with helpful and friendly staff, Frank and Roma, Keith and Lynn.

A great site with helpful and friendly staff, Frank and Roma, Keith and Lynn. We met the latter last year and we have kept in touch on a regular basis over the internet. Anyone who says that the facilities are not spotlessly clean must be talking about another site! Wolverley ccc has a laid back atmosphere and yet it is only a short drive from kidderminster. Everyone walks to the lock pub for a couple of pints on a hot day and it is well worth the visit. If you walk past the lock pub and turn next right towards the village, it is only 500 yards to the Queens Head, Unmissable on Tuesday night if you like music. Their open mike night attracts lots of musicians and everyone is welcome. Take your guitar if you have one - the host, Pete Kelly, provides the amplification. Arrive early or you might find yourself performing in 18th position. The only thing that is not five star is the TV reception. With a bit of fiddling about we managed to get the freeview HD channels but little else. If we re-directed the ariel we received the main channels but not in HD and with the addition of about a dozen others. There were also times of day when the reception broke up, presumably due to atmospherics. None of this troubled us but if you are a tv freak I suggest you bring a freesat or sky setup. The usual UK small dish will work fine here. Keith, we hope to see you and Lynn in Spain after the site has been closed for the winter. It will be good to see you relaxing and not bouncing up and down on a lawnmower.

All you expect from a Club Site; friendly staff, clean modern facilities, tidy and well...

This review is for Wolverley

All you expect from a Club Site; friendly staff, clean modern facilities, tidy and well maintained grass/trees. Pitches were well marked and fairly level with power points and water facilities nearby. Club room looked good although we didn't use it. Very nice towpath walks to Cookley and Kidderminster. Cookley has a few shops and pubs but the Post Office did a great hot chocolate drink. Adjacent road could be a tad noisy at times but not enough to spoil our 7 day visit.
