Relax in the heart of the Worcestershire countryside at our campsite near the canal.

Gentle walks and cycle rides are top of the to do list from our Wolverley Club campsite. Surrounded by the stunning Worcestershire countryside and with the Staffordshire and Worcestershire canal just 60 metres from site means you really can enjoy life in the slow lane.

The Lock Inn adjacent to the canal and a couple of minutes’ walk from the campsite provides an excellent resting place to enjoy a pint (or frozen cider) and partake in a spot of gongoozling. There are some lovely walks to be enjoyed along the canal towpath especially as there is Springfields country park near the canal were fishing is available and a great play park for the children. Stop off in Kidderminster and, as well as shops and eateries, you’ll find the Severn Valley Railway. Board a steam train and enjoy the 16 mile journey through glorious countryside to Bridgnorth.

There are numerous opportunities for family days out from the campsite. Explore 1,000 years of history at Hartlebury Museum near Kidderminster. Bodenham Aboretum and Earth Centre , Wolverley and Arley Aboretum, Arley village are wonderlands of trees and shrubs and for animal lovers the West Midland Safari and Leisure Park, Dudley Zoo and Rays Farm are not to be missed.

Back at camp, there’ still more to do. There’s a playing field for youngsters to let off steam adjacent to the campsite and a large recreation room with table tennis and a pool table keep children occupied in bad weather. There’s an excellent dog walk and a good range of facilities including showers, laundry and site shop.

In the few days leading up the August bank holiday the site was close to perfect, plenty of space, quiet and adequate facilities. However, when the site was full it was much less attractive, too many units squeezed into the available place and facilities were strained. The shower block is a bit dated but has some of the best showers I've encountered anywhere. Location is excellent, close to nice canal-side pub (sometimes with live music) and pleasant 30 min walk into Kidderminster which you wouldn't want to visit for it's architectural merits! However, places like Bridgnorth and Bewdley are not too far away and are delightful riverside towns and well worth a visit.

Stayed 3 Nights over BH Weekend. Great Staff, very helpful but the C&CC are letting them down. Very tired facilities including only 4 Male WCs for the entire site??Lets get real it's the 21st Century Incredibly noisy next to the road at one end of the site - peaceful country site - I don't think so. Also why do the Club insist on putting signs everywhere usually stating "Must" or "Can't" or "Don't". - very Friendly (Not) The Lock Inn nearby was a great disappointment. Food was very poor, the service desultory and facilities dirty and unkempt. This site is in a great area for walking and cycling but appears to be trading on it's position rather than the quality of it's facilities - Come on C&CC invest - WW2 converted buildings are no longer fit for purpose. Very much doubt if we will ever return to this site

Stayed over the Bank Holiday weekend. Received a warm and helpful welcome and a choice of pitch. Although the site was fully booked, the showers/toilets were spotless, which is essential in my view.
