Gentle walks and cycle rides are top of the to do list from our Wolverley Club campsite.

Surrounded by the stunning Worcestershire countryside and with the Staffordshire and Worcestershire canal just 60 metres from site means you really can enjoy life in the slow lane.

The Lock Inn adjacent to the canal and a couple of minutes’ walk from the campsite provides an excellent resting place to enjoy a pint (or frozen cider) and partake in a spot of gongoozling. There are some lovely walks to be enjoyed along the canal towpath especially as there is Springfields country park near the canal were fishing is available and a great play park for the children. Stop off in Kidderminster and, as well as shops and eateries, you’ll find the Severn Valley Railway. Board a steam train and enjoy the 16 mile journey through glorious countryside to Bridgnorth.

There are numerous opportunities for family days out from the campsite. Explore 1,000 years of history at Hartlebury Museum near Kidderminster. Bodenham Aboretum and Earth Centre , Wolverley and Arley Aboretum, Arley village are wonderlands of trees and shrubs and for animal lovers the West Midland Safari and Leisure Park, Dudley Zoo and Rays Farm are not to be missed.

Back at camp, there’ still more to do. There’s a playing field for youngsters to let off steam adjacent to the campsite and a large recreation room with table tennis and a pool table keep children occupied in bad weather. There’s an excellent dog walk and a good range of facilities including showers, laundry and site shop.

Due to works on hardstanding pitches from 4 April for approximately 3 weeks there may be some daytime noise produced by heavy plant and machinery. We will endeavour to keep disruption to a minimum.

We have just spent 14 days on pitch 18 and have thoroughly enjoyed every day. It is a lovely site, quiet and relaxed and extremely well run. It is in a great position for access to local opportunities. The canal offers hours of enjoyment and we must have covered over 25 miles on our bikes over the period. It is our first time in this area camping, and one thing is for sure, we will be back. Both Birmingham by train and the Seven Valley Railway are good days out. Come rain or shine our opinion of this site remained the same, brilliant.

Spent 3 nights in our new Kampa tent on pitch 65, great site with 2 super pubs and a tea shop in the village. The staff were fantastic, we were guided to our pitch and the site facilities were explained as well as telling us about the local area, the whole site was very clean and we really enjoyed our break, walking along the canal, seeing all the wildlife. We wifi be going back very soon

Well kept site, large well lit roomy toilet block, very clean. There was some road noise.

Well kept site, large well lit roomy toilet block, very clean. There was some road noise. Many places to visit, we liked Bewdley, also many country walking areas; supermarkets at Kidderminster. Other attractions are the River Severn and Severn Valley Railway. Kidderminster is the 'traffic light capital of Britain' with roadworks to add to the frustration!

We chose a site away from the road which kept the traffic noise down! There is a gate to the back lane and the pub was only a 50 metre walk away. The Banks bitter was delectable! The Worcester canal is very peaceful and provided us with a grand walking area. What impressed us, however, was the warmth of the greeting offered to us by Reception and the fact we were personally shown our pitch. The grounds are immaculate and the facilities were spotless which attests to the hard work put in by the cleaning staff. We highly commend this site and will definitely visit again!
