The site we usually stay at in the area was closed due to weather conditions and as we were visiting friends in Pewsey we looked on the web site for a suitable alternative. After reading the posted reviews we thought the Bruce Arms would be ideal. We were disappointed to find that the nightly fee has risen to £16.00 (£4.00 per night for hook-up). The pub has recently changed hands and the new owner no longer serves food. The facilities whilst adequate were not cleaned whilst we were there and it appeared that the campsite toilets were used by visitors to the pub.

The Bruce Arms is a traditional old drinking pub with open fires and stone floors. No juke box or fruit machines but a very warm welcome not only from the licencees but the locals too. We had a great night and we will be going back very soon.
