A place of outstanding views & beauty, a place to heal your soul??
This is a brilliant site. The field, whilst sloping, for all; it's well drained with one hard standing. Grass is always cut and there are ample electric points. Even when full, there are still 2 or 3 options of where to pitch. The views are to die for.
The facilities are basic: two toilets with sinks-cold water and one shower-room. No radiators. But the shower is electric, hot, adequate and free. Washing up facilities are okay, hot water could run hotter & stronger.
Never mind the facilities though... this is the most beautiful, panoramic site I've come across. Surrounding the dry-stone walled site are fields packed with sheep, shire horses, geese & cattle.
On a clear day you can look across to Emley Moor, Castle Hill, Holme Moss and down into Holmbridge and Holmfirth. Often windswept, it has a fabulous beauty to it, at all times of year. It's a perfect place to hole up and watch the weather fronts sweep in and outdoor . In Summer it's a perfect place to bring two or three families for a couple of nights.
There are lots of walks nearby, of differing lengths, suitable for the whole family. Nearby is a llama farm. It's only 20 minutes to tootle down to Holmfirth, (though 40 on the way back owing to the incline!) down a farm track, then quiet road. Hardy folk play competitive cricket and football yards from the site.
The only negative about this location is that we have to keep our dogs on the lead all year around, because of livestock-your dog might be more reliable?!
The owner Kelly is delightfully friendly and helpful. This has become our most favourite place to head for. Not everyone's cup of tea, but perfect for us. Don't tell too many people-our secret??

This is a lovely clean well kept site with a nice friendly welcome. The views are stunning and it is one of the most peaceful sites we have been on. We chose a pitch on the edge of the site and could lean out of the caravan and pet the horses in the next field! It feels so remote but is only about a miles walk into holmfirth with plenty of places to eat and drink and is a nice place to visit. The toilets and shower on the site look fairly new and are clean and tidy. We like certificates sites and this is up there with the best. Highly recommended

Peaceful rural site with lovely views
The site is high above Holmfirth with superb views of the surrounding countryside. The facilities are basic but clean and well maintained. Two toilets, one shower, and a washing up sink with hot water. Plenty of electric hookups. This is a delightful site if you are looking for a quiet location with more than just a water tap.

Lovely site in a superb place. Lovely owners.
Super location and we were really lucky with the weather. All we would say is if a strong wind is forecast take a pitch away from the edge. Having said that the views from the front are stunning! Make sure you follow the directions from the website and not the sat nav. You will regret it if you don't!
We will definitely return.
