What a title gem with 360 panoramic views, the owners are very nice and run the farm with horses cows & sheep in the next field. The field is a little uneven with a slope at one end, the site is well maintained & clean, the view of holmfirth down the hill is stunning and only a 5 minute drive or if you prefer to walk there is a track down to the village but coming back up the hill would be a little taxing for some of us. There is a vintage bus that runs tours to the filming sites of last of the summer wine.

great views We like this site although the shower and toilets were cold and only cold water in the sinks, towing was a tad tight on some of the roads and surface not the best, for the van awning and electric we were charged 15.00 pn. which was more than we were expecting but was still ok for the view alone, we found it good to run around the peak district, with being so high up the wind can get up a bit but we would go there again.

A place of outstanding views & beauty, a place to heal your soul?? This is a brilliant site.

A place of outstanding views & beauty, a place to heal your soul?? This is a brilliant site. The field, whilst sloping, for all; it's well drained with one hard standing. Grass is always cut and there are ample electric points. Even when full, there are still 2 or 3 options of where to pitch. The views are to die for. The facilities are basic: two toilets with sinks-cold water and one shower-room. No radiators. But the shower is electric, hot, adequate and free. Washing up facilities are okay, hot water could run hotter & stronger. Never mind the facilities though... this is the most beautiful, panoramic site I've come across. Surrounding the dry-stone walled site are fields packed with sheep, shire horses, geese & cattle. On a clear day you can look across to Emley Moor, Castle Hill, Holme Moss and down into Holmbridge and Holmfirth. Often windswept, it has a fabulous beauty to it, at all times of year. It's a perfect place to hole up and watch the weather fronts sweep in and outdoor . In Summer it's a perfect place to bring two or three families for a couple of nights. There are lots of walks nearby, of differing lengths, suitable for the whole family. Nearby is a llama farm. It's only 20 minutes to tootle down to Holmfirth, (though 40 on the way back owing to the incline!) down a farm track, then quiet road. Hardy folk play competitive cricket and football yards from the site. The only negative about this location is that we have to keep our dogs on the lead all year around, because of livestock-your dog might be more reliable?! The owner Kelly is delightfully friendly and helpful. This has become our most favourite place to head for. Not everyone's cup of tea, but perfect for us. Don't tell too many people-our secret??
