A great location in the middle of the forests of the South Downs.

A great location in the middle of the forests of the South Downs. The site is well attended, with a lovely couple managing it. Even when fully booked the place feels relaxing. Although there is only one block with (clean) sanitairy facilities, it never causes any problems (queues). The showers are functional, but could do with some refurbishing. Perfect location for outdoor activities like hiking, biking, horseback riding. Numerous of interesting places to visit varying from picturesque villages to historic sites. The lovely towns of Petworth and Chichester, the sea, tidal harbours... We'd certainly love to come back some day.

Wonderful wooded campsite with little secluded glades and no precise lining up of caravans and tents. Lovely welcome by the stewards, despite it tipping down with rain and being blamed for it, and a nature quiz for the kids and adults with a goody bag as a prize for participating together with pictures of various wildlife for them to follow and keep amused for a few days. The different birds that we saw was amazing and the walks out of the site really good as a car wasn't needed. Accessible places were Petworth House, Goodward, Midhurst, Chichester, the Witterings with sandy beaches and Bosham. We had a great week with the grandchildren and will certainly return. Thank you for the Stewards who kept the place clean and who, obviously, love the natural way the site is run.
