nothing wrong at all with this site.

nothing wrong at all with this site. The sheltered pitches allowed the sun in but kept the strong wind at bay. (It wasn't good weather when we went in May but can't blame the site for that ) We would definitely go again and probably again ????

Loved the site, and were shown to a pitch which was down a slight slope, and completley surrounded by trees, my wife commented about getting off the pitch if it rained as the ground was already very boggy. We were assured it would be fine, then once pitched were advised that they had never had a caravan on that pitch before? The pitch itself had no natural sunlight due to the trees, and whilst the woody surroundings are lovely, it did make the pitch dark and dismal, and the the ground just did not have the chance to dry out. Today as we left following a heavy storm, not only did we have brances falling onto our caravan, we also were unable to get off the pitch without the help of a fellow caravanner and his four by four. My wife did try and access help from the wardens, but we were advised that they could not really help. This suprised us as we had recently stayed on other sites where the wardens have access to a tractor type vehicles to help assist their customers in such circumstances. Whilst we loved the position of this site, not sure we will return unless in a drought!

Pitches are mainly clearings in the trees and when not busy you could be the only ones on site.

Pitches are mainly clearings in the trees and when not busy you could be the only ones on site. Birds abound for almost continuous bird watching. Pitch 27 is particularly nice and is able to 'see' the TV sat through a break in the trees. Whilst clean, the facilities in the lower part of the site are not up to normal club standard but the newer block further in certainly is. It's a 10min bike ride to a well stocked shop in Graffham (including bird seed). Bus service is request only and infrequent so we booked Tri-Cars from Pulborough for an on-time site pick up and 15min notice return after visiting Petworth.

We parked up and walked every day. Foorpath alongside site takes you in all directions. They have their own walk book for 50p and it is easy to access the SDW from here. Bit worried that there are only three showers between 90 pitches? Could be hectic in high summer. Also showers dont work very well. Odd shower heads on each shower and not very good water run off so shower stays wet. Beautiful wooded site with great pitches. Ground is uneven. I damaged the underside of my mhome. Take Care!!!! WE WILL BE BACK!
