Enjoy water, wildlife, cycling and walking from this Midland's-based Club Site.

Our Kingsbury Water Park Club campsite is a tranquil oasis in the heart of the industrial Midlands. Bordered by the lovely Water Park, this campsite is the perfect setting for a leisurely break. It’s a spacious site with large, level pitches. The clean, modern facilities benefit from underfloor heating. But perhaps the most engaging thing about this site is its location.

The adjacent Water Park ensures there are numerous activities right on hand. The water – there’s plenty of it – provides canoeing and sailing opportunities. Kingsbury is also one of the largest and most diverse fisheries in the Midlands. Walking and cycling tracks meander through the park and for the younger family members there are two play areas, a small train and a children’s farm. Nature lovers are in for a treat too, as the water is a haven for many birds and mammals.

The Outdoor Education Centre opposite the campsite entrance offers a variety of activities including abseiling, canoeing, climbing, rafting and more.

A walk along the canal towpath will bring you to the Dog and Doublet pub, Middleton Hall and an RSPB reserve while further afield the city of Birmingham is great for shopping. It also has a Sea Life Centre, museums and a vibrant nightlife.

The Black Country Living Museum and Cadbury World are also worth visiting and, of course, just a stone’s throw from the campsite is the NEC which hosts numerous concerts and exhibitions.

The country park is a great attraction and readily accessible from the site. Unfortunately I would not enjoy sitting out in summer as the traffic noise is ever present and to my mind far to noisy.

Facilities are spotlessly clean, staff are welcoming and friendly. The under floor heating in the showers are a luxury. there are excellent walks around the lakes and canal, with wildlife in abundance. I would recommend this gem of a site to anybody.

We stayed here to go to the caravan show at the NEC and it was very convenient for that. It's a very nice, flat site with lovely amenities including underfloor heating in the ladies showers. Surrounded by nice countryside, canal and lakes. There is a pub within walking distance, but we found it not very hospitable on both occasions when we tried it. The only gripe we have is about the Wifi. Having paid 10 for a week's access we found out that this allows only one user at any one time so, if I was using it my husband would have to wait until I logged out before he could log on. It was at times very difficult, and sometimes nigh on impossible, to connect to. It is also very slow - hard to play videos without buffering. It is run by the Caravan and Camping Club itself and I do think they need to sort this out before too long as most people nowadays have multiple phones and tablets they want to connect and use. I will not bother to purchase access at any other Caravan and Camping Club sites as it is expensive and not very good. However, we have been on many unaffiliated sites where the wifi has been free and really good, so if they can do it why not the Caravan and Camping Club.
