Enjoy water, wildlife, cycling and walking from this Midland's-based Club Site.

Please note that in late April/early May there were a number of thefts from site overnight. The site team are working with police and strengthening security where possible and there have been no recent incidents but please be sure to secure all personal belongings.

Our Kingsbury Water Park Club campsite is a tranquil oasis in the heart of the industrial Midlands. Bordered by the lovely Water Park, this campsite is the perfect setting for a leisurely break. It’s a spacious site with large, level pitches. The clean, modern facilities benefit from underfloor heating. But perhaps the most engaging thing about this site is its location.

The adjacent Water Park ensures there are numerous activities right on hand. The water – there’s plenty of it – provides canoeing and sailing opportunities. Kingsbury is also one of the largest and most diverse fisheries in the Midlands. Walking and cycling tracks meander through the park and for the younger family members there are two play areas, a small train and a children’s farm. Nature lovers are in for a treat too, as the water is a haven for many birds and mammals.

The Outdoor Education Centre opposite the campsite entrance offers a variety of activities including abseiling, canoeing, climbing, rafting and more.

A walk along the canal towpath will bring you to the Dog and Doublet pub, Middleton Hall and an RSPB reserve while further afield the city of Birmingham is great for shopping. It also has a Sea Life Centre, museums and a vibrant nightlife.

The Black Country Living Museum and Cadbury World are also worth visiting and, of course, just a stone’s throw from the campsite is the NEC which hosts numerous concerts and exhibitions.

Worth Noting

Please note, if you have more than one car or are visiting the site, there is limited parking available, therefore you may be asked to park at Broomey Croft car park, which is chargeable. This site is situated near the M42 and can suffer from road noise at times.

This was a return visit to one of our favorite campsites.

This review is for Kingsbury Water Park

This was a return visit to one of our favorite campsites. On this occasion - a bank holiday weekend which we booked well in advance we were disappointed to be given a pitch (70) that was mainly shaded and for two older people and a dog immediately adjacent to the children's play-park. Consequently we were constantly plagued around our van and our new car by screaming children on foot and on pushbikes until quite late each evening. We will return but would hope that we would not experience a similar siting again.

This year has been our third visit to Kingsbury, and as part of an expanding group the wardens do their best to keep us all in one area, which they manage to do very well. The staff on site are very friendly and helpful. Access to the site.... the last few hundred yards is along a narrow lane with speed humps (not part of the the club site) which could be improved to assist those towing caravans or trailers. The road is narrow with few suitable passing places but if vehicles travelling towards you give way and move over (not all users of this road are of the camping kind) then a caravan can pass. The site is well maintained with level grass and hardstanding pitches and the facilities are kept immaculately clean. We were able to book and stay an extra night without any problem. The walks by lakes and ponds that surround the site are level and there is a lovely pub nearby on the canal which serves excellent meals. Nearby in Tamworth there are a good selection of shops and services, with an (almost) out-of-town retail park which should provide the needs of the most demanding camper. Good access from motorways, (M42, M6, M40 etc) though some of the roundabouts can be confusing due to inadequate road markings. Miss an exit when towing a caravan means going round again. Enjoy your stay - we will be back again next year with our dogs!
