this was intending to be a wild hammock camp, however the weather had a different idea, so I went in my tent, the facilities here are pretty basic, but this is not why I am here, here you can wild camp in remote woodland, right by a river and not see a single soul all day, its a bit of a walk to get to the woodlands from where you park the car, but once you are down in the woods the magic begins, there are fire pits to have a fire and Ian the owner sells bags of wood for a fiver, I pitched up my tent on a very stormy Friday night, the river was thunderous, and so was the weather, Saturday was blissful, the sun came out and everything was good in the world, had a relaxing day chilling in my hammock listening to the birds and the river, the most relaxing day I think I have ever spent, so if you really want to escape, try here, but don't expect any luxuries, I will be returning soon
