    Site within National Park

Steal away to an orchard by the south coast in the country's newest National Park.

Natural and unspoilt sum up our peaceful Slindon Club campsite set in an orchard on the edge of Slindon Forest, National Trust owned bluebell woods, in the heart of the South Downs National Park.

This 40 pitch campsite has beautiful views across the coastal plain of West Sussex and is home to a variety of bird and wildlife. Facilities on site are limited to a water tap and chemical waste point.

There are many walks direct from the campsite through surrounding woodland and estate which has 25 miles of public right of way and ten geocache boxes waiting to be discovered. The National Trust owned Slindon village is a stroll away and has a pub (The Spur) and community store - The Forge - which also serves as a café. Cyclists can have their pick of circular routes all starting from the village.

The market town of Arundel, east of Slindon campsite, boasts a castle, a cathedral and the Arundel Wildfowl Trust – a 65-acre haven for wildlife. Amberley museum just north of the town looks at the area’s industrial heritage. Parham House and Gardens at Storrington and Goodwood House to the east of Slindon, West Dean Gardens and Denmans – a tamed wilderness garden – near Chichester and are all interesting days out, as is the Weald and Downland Open Air Museum.

Beach lovers should head to the family–friendly beaches at Littlehampton, Bognor Regis and West Wittering.

Nice welcome.Had booked a grass pitch by mistake should have been grass and electric.

Nice welcome.Had booked a grass pitch by mistake should have been grass and electric. Not a problem we were accomodated with a pitch by the reception. Set up and apart from the odd traffic it was a nice spot away from the corral in the main field. Would like try a more secluded spot on the perimeter next time though even though it might mean no leccy. Shop has ice creams so a bit further away would help my waistline too. Site is very well kept and in a wonderful location and surrounded by so many places to visit it is in our book for another visit soon. e

This was our second time camping as a family of 6, first time at Slindon.

This was our second time camping as a family of 6, first time at Slindon. The site was lovely and the staff were very friendly and very helpful. They were always around should you require any assistance for anything. The facilities were very clean. We had a couple of calls from the staff to ensure we were aware that there were no toilets, we knew this prior to booking and had appropriate facilities anyway due to the kids! There are plenty of walks in National Trust Slindon Estate and Slindon Village is not far up the road. The site is safe for children; ours spent the whole time with other children from other pitches and they all seemed to get on well together. We would recommend this site as it is very quiet and peaceful. Very popular for dog owners as there are a lot of dog walks on site. We really enjoyed our stay and are looking forward to booking this site again soon.
