    Top site for fishing

Horsley Club Site, near the North Downs. Perfect for fishing, relaxing, walking.

Our tranquil Horsley Club campsite lies just north of the beautiful Surrey Hills, popular for the network of footpaths that criss-cross them, including the long distance North Downs Way.

Horsley is a peaceful campsite tucked away down the end of a quiet lane. Although large, with some 130 pitches, campers are able to sit back and relax here – either watching the abundant wildlife – foxes, deer, rabbits and ducks are all regular visitors - or casting a line into the picturesque Horsley Lake – the campsite’s centre piece. Day fishing is available here.

The campsite has clean, modern facilities. There is a new children’s play area, dog walk and a recreation room.

The Horsley Jubilee Trail, starting at Horsley station, is a nine-mile circular walk taking in woods, historic buildings, great panoramas and a well-earned refreshment stop at a traditional English pub. You can enjoy more views of the area from Newlands Corner, a popular beauty sport in the Surrey Hills, just south of the campsite.

For days out visit the National Trust’s Polsden Lacey, a stunning Edwardian Manor House near Dorking, RHS Garden Wisely the flagship garden of the Royal Horticultural Society, and its huge plant collection, Bocketts Park Farm near Leatherhead and the Brookland Museum - home to Concorde - in Weybridge.

The theme parks Chessington World of Adventure, Legoland and Thorpe Park are all nearby.

Ready Camp is available at this campsite. (Please note that, although we welcome dogs on this site, in the interest of all guests we do not permit pets to stay within the Ready Camp tents).

Worth Noting

Fishing available from site opening to closing - seasonal or daily tickets are available. This site is located at the end of a "private lane" which is sign posted.

Please be aware that parking is limited at the campsite. Unfortunately we can only guarantee one car parking space per pitch. If you have any visitors or additional vehicles we do have 11 spaces on site for extra parking. If these are full alternative off-site parking facilities are available 0.8 miles away in the village.

We stayed here for our visit to Wisley Gardens, and it was ideal, very close. Yes the showers were fairly basic but clean and perfectly acceptable. Many reviews mention noisy children/families. With its proximity to family entertainment venues, I can imagine this can be a problem at weekends and during school holidays, but mid-week and during term-time it was peaceful and pleasant. We had friendly neighbours and a very comfortable stay.

Found this site to be absolutely stunning, the lake is very picturesque and peaceful and the fishing is great especially for kids as you can always get a catch and the fish can be really large as well, there is even a resident heron during the day and an amazing population of bats in the evening if you walk round the lake. The Recreation Hall is a lovely touch too as there is a pool table and a darts board and other things including photos of the days when you could swim or boat on the lake! The on site shop has the basics and also sells for 1 a map of a local walk that is approx 9 miles round. A walk around Box Hill is a must as its perfect for families, dogs and picnics and has a lovely cafe.Guildford Lido(open air pool) is also a fun day out or the high ropes of Wild Wood in Stoke Park.Considering it was peak holiday time when we stayed the facilities were always spotlessly clean with the showers providing plenty of hot water at any time of the day.We had a wonderful time here and according to my 11 year old "there is no way this site could be improved" we will stay here again its the closest holiday to home we have ever(1hour 20mins) away.

we stayed here 2 nights while visiting friends and taking the kids on a trip to lego land. It was ideal for what we wanted. The site itself is clean and well run with most things you need or want. we didn't have any problems getting on site and were met and guided on to our plot which I prefer. Its a great site that we enjoyed staying at and we will be using again.
